Maintaining the health of our breed is a mission for all the folks owned by Standard Schnauzers The Standard Schnauzer Club of America is currently conducting a survey to document the health status of the breed. The goal of the survey is two-fold (1) identify genetic diseases that may exist in our breed, and 2) confirm that many diseases do not exist in Standard Schnauzers, that is, the Standard Schnauzer is REALLY a healthy breed. To obtain an accurate picture of the health status of our breed, we need information on a large number of dogs, YES - THIS INCLUDES HEALTHY DOGS.

The objectives of the Greater Pittsburgh Standard Schnauzer Club are to: To gain and share knowledge of the Standard Schnauzer breed and care To promote responsible Standard Schnauzer ownership and breeding To support SSCA and AKC events such as conformation, agility, herding and obedience To encourage friendship and sponsor social activities among all Standard Schnauzer club members. We meet six times each year in February, April, June, August, October, and December. |
